How does basic promotion of works happen?

Zelluloza receives traffic from both regular readers and new visitors coming through advertising. Books can be promoted through ratings, collections, genre and tag search, new-release announcements, author search, reviews, critiques, blogs, and forum posts.
We recommend publishing continuations regularly so books appear in new releases, announcing discounts (they are shown on the home page), keeping a blog, giving promo codes to active readers, participating in literary contests, and sending interesting news for publication in the publisher's social media.
You can also place promotional materials through us: a post about a book, a Q&A article about creativity and the writing path, a video presentation, an author interview, book trailers, stories about how the book was created, reviews, self-reviews, announcements of free books, and other newsworthy materials related to the book or author.

What do you use instead of commercial status if every author has a contract?

We believe authors should be able to earn from access to their work without extra barriers or complicated procedures. We sign an agreement with every author. Read more about becoming an author here.

How can I run targeted and contextual advertising for a work?

You can submit a request in your personal account: My Books > book card > targeted and contextual advertising. There you choose how many visitors from advertising systems you want to bring to your book. Our advertising specialists guarantee that the specified number of potential readers will open your work. How many of them read it to the end depends on the quality of the text.

How can I raise a book into the top widgets?

There are two ways to move a book up the top lists. The first is natural growth, when the work gains more views, reads, ratings, purchases, and other activity. The second is a paid advertising placement (marked accordingly), available in My Books on the book card page.

How can I get additional advertising support for free?

We support authors who are seriously interested in promotion and are ready to put in the work. For this we created the Professional Account status: authors who meet the requirements receive additional advertising support beyond the basic options. Details: author checklist.

How can I announce a discount on the home page?

Editorial services

What does the editor package include?

The editor package includes:
- correcting lexical errors and word-usage issues;
- creating a book annotation, comments on the text, and notes for the author;
- stylistic editing;
- recommendations on fixing logic issues and improving composition, including division into semantic fragments and sequence of presentation;
- suggestions for shortening and revising the text without distorting its meaning, such as removing repetitions and unnecessary details;
- checking factual material when there are doubts: sources, quotes, terms, dates, names, titles, and numbers.

What does the proofreader package include?

The proofreader package includes:

- bringing the text into compliance with Russian-language norms;
- correcting grammatical, morphological, and word-formation errors;
- checking syntax, spelling, punctuation, dashes, hyphens, quotation marks, commas, periods, and other punctuation marks.

Cost and timing

• The final cost depends on the text volume (characters with spaces).


• Prices start from 2,500 rubles per author's sheet (40,000 characters).


• The standard proofreading period is 7 to 14 business days from payment; for large volumes (over 300,000 characters), the deadline may be extended.


• The minimum text volume is 10,000 characters with spaces.

Beta reader

A beta reader differs from an editor by giving recommendations from the reader's point of view rather than making edits directly.
You receive a list of recommendations for revising, improving, and strengthening a specific fragment or the whole work.

Translation

Translation is available for a complete work or individual fragments. Orders are placed by fragment. You can specify the number of fragments in the full work if you want the whole book translated. Accepted target languages: English, French, German, Spanish, and Chinese.

Detailed review

An expert review with an extended overview of the work: text analysis, assessment of the plot line, relevance of the topic and market potential, plus recommendations for revision.

What is the difference between editing and proofreading?

An editor primarily works with meaning and compliance with the norms of the Russian literary language, performing literary editing.
Editorial revision covers logic, structure, topic development, meaning, and content aspects.
Proofreading does not include style, logic, or structure revision. A proofreader corrects spelling, punctuation, grammar, and typesetting issues.

How does editing, proofreading, and beta reading work?

1. Initial proofreading in Word
We receive the author's text as a .doc, .docx, .rtf file or as a link to a work published on Zelluloza.

After the first pass, the editor or proofreader makes corrections in Word review mode.

2. Approval of corrections and return to the editor
The author reviews the changes, accepts them, adds their own edits, and returns the work.

3. Second reading
The editor performs a second, final pass: the text is checked again and all edits are consolidated.

4. Delivery of the final edited version
After final corrections, the work is sent to the author for review.
